It is no secret that Amazon has hired high-profile executives with healthcare experience, fueling rumors that the company is going to somehow enter the healthcare sector.

Goldman Sachs has released a 30-page report on some of the ways Amazon could break into and even disrupt the market.

  • Improve price transparency and lower overall drug costs.
  • Deliver drugs and prescriptions to homes.
  • Become its own online pharmacy
  • Becoming a one-stop shop: visit a doctor via Alexa and telemedicine, get a prescription, clicking “buy now,” and having it delivered.
