On February 5, 2016, the Dallas Morning News reported that federal investigators were examining a local pharmacy in potential violation of anti-kickback laws.
According to court documents that DMN obtained, RXpress Pharmacy, a compound pharmacy, and related businesses in the Dallas area paid sales representatives commissions to market the pharmacy’s services to doctors.
“Federal law prohibits pharmacies from giving physicians anything of value in exchange for prescription referrals,” the article said.
