Telemedicine may or may not have the ability to replace in-person care

Does telemedicine help patients more effectively than in-person care and does it save money? The findings are all over the place.
In Los Angeles, a pilot program proves that wait times to “see” a physician were dramatically decreased while access increased, both great outcomes for patients and doctors both.
But another study showed that 90 percent of those using telehealth were new users, which doesn’t help drive down costs.
State lawmakers nationwide seem more apt to help telemedicine along, whereas state regulatory boards are slower.
