The Future of Health with Telehealth

With new and emerging technologies come new ways for patients and doctors to interact. Telehealth includes virtual visits, remote patient monitoring, mobile health applications, and online patient education. It has the ability to revolutionize healthcare as we know it.
The concept of telehealth is so new, however, that lawmakers are trying to catch up. In 2015, 200 bills were introduced in 42 states concerning regulating this growing healthcare category.
The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) cites studies showing that telehealth can be a cost effective alternative to traditional care delivery methods.
